Iñaki Peña has conceded goals in LaLiga for the eighth consecutive match. Although the Alicante native has not had much responsibility for the decline of the team, Wojciech Szczesny's benching is, at the very least, striking.
FC Barcelona closed the first half of LaLiga with 22 goals against in 19 matches (the same as the previous season). 17 of those goals have been conceded by Iñaki Peña (in 14 matches), although the Alicante native has earned the trust of Hansi Flick despite the signing of Wojciech Szczesny. The Pole has not even debuted yet and, faced with a defense in urgent need of adjustments, the former Juventus goalkeeper at least deserves the chance to start competing, head-to-head, for the position with '13'.
