The appeal to change the date of the match between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna in LaLiga has been dismissed.
Bad news for FC Barcelona. Despite having appealed to the Single Judge of Professional Competitions of the RFEF regarding the decision to hold the match against CA Osasuna on March 27, an initiative that the Navarrese were also not in agreement with, ultimately the match will take place on this date.

It should be noted that this match, which was initially scheduled for Saturday, March 8, was postponed due to the unfortunate passing of the Barça doctor Carles Miñarro and the impact that it had on the Barça squad. Ultimately, it will take place on March 27.
Why was this date chosen?
The main argument for this decision lies in the need to recover the match as soon as possible, according to what is stipulated by the Regulatory Norms and Bases of Competitions of the First and Second Divisions. These statutes establish that the match must be played on the first available date.
After evaluating the situation, the Committee determined that March 27 was the closest and most viable date. This, as stated by the Competitions Department of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the National Professional Football League (LNFP).
FC Barcelona will arrive with two absences for the match against the Navarrese
With this in mind, FC Barcelona faces a significant sporting problem, as it should not be overlooked that this match will take place immediately after the FIFA date this March. It is important to note that they will not be able to count, for example, on one of their main offensive weapons, Raphinha, who has already been called up by the Brazil national team and will play a match in the early hours of March 26 against the Argentina national team (starting at 01:00 h in Spain).
Similarly, Ronald Araujo will also be committed to the Uruguayan national team on March 25 in their match against Bolivia (starting at 21:00 h in Spain). Given the demands of these commitments and the time it would take to return to Barcelona, it seems extremely complicated that they can at least be present in the squad for the match against CA Osasuna.
Not to mention the exhaustion that their internationals may have
For the rest of the players of FC Barcelona who have been part of this international break, there may not be too many problems, as most of them play in Europe and will finish their commitments by March 25. However, it is evident that with so little time to recover and prepare for the match, this could represent a clear inconvenience for the Catalan club.
In addition, there is no room for complaints, as the Regulations of the Royal Spanish Football Federation are clear that the absence of players due to international commitments is not an impediment to carry out the match.
CA Osasuna will also be affected by the choice of this date
The date, also unfortunate for CA Osasuna, a team that is not strongly affected by the absence of internationals, but rather by the overload of matches in the calendar, will have to reschedule the match that was planned for March 28 against Athletic Club. The rescheduling is expected to be for March 30.
With this, a rather unfortunate event for both teams is definitively confirmed, as they advocated for the match to be played between May 18 and 25 (between matchdays 37 and 38 of Laliga EA Sports). However, this option was not considered favorably, as it apparently rules out the possibility due to potential competition violations.
