The FC Barcelona faced a quite complicated party in the Montjuïc in front of the Cádiz, very similar to the previous meeting against the Getafe: a hard team, aggressive, that bases in his solid defence and physical game to attain his aims. In this occasion, to the equal that in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, the referee also had a role antagónico for the Barça, although in this occasion was minimised by the victory of the Barcelona, but does not have to overlook.

The arbitration was marked by the disparity of criteria when sanctioning some actions. The collegiate Alejandro Muñiz Ruiz, in his attempt to give fluidity to the game, showed very permisivo with the square that dressed of yellow, arriving to the point of not sanctioning clear faults and losing the control of the actions grieve in the first-half.

Everything began with a penalti no sanctioned to Lamine Yamal

The first controversy of this clash did notice to the five minutes, Lamine Yamal was victim of a tacleada inside the area by part of the defender Javi Hernández, but the judge did not sanction absolutely at all, and even decided not consulting to the VAR.

The Galician also showed some lightness regarding the yellow cards, since the Cádiz, that clearly bet by a defensive game and physicist, only received three cartelones in spite of committing 22 faults. On the other hand, the Barcelonan cast, in spite of committing only nine infringements, received four cards, three of them by protests (Gavi, Ter Stegen and Pedri) and one to Frenkie Of Jong by a fault to Rubén Alcaraz. Curiously, Alcaraz committed a fault on Pedri in the minute 20, striking it in the frontal of the area, and the referee did not apply the corresponding sanction.

Another maximum penalty no sanctioned to Robert Lewandowski...

In the minute 69, again there was an action related with a possible penalti, this time starred by Robert Lewandowski. There was a clear agarrón inside the area by part of Rubén Alcaraz, an action without balloon. Neither it reviewed in the VAR neither applied any caution.

The judge did not consult the VAR in any occasion

The judge no only was badly in his decisions, but it also showed some fault of organisation in the terrain of game, arriving to entorpecer in more than an occasion to the players. Besides, it surprises that in a party with so much friction and controversial, the referee of the VAR, Juan Luis Polishing Santana, hardly had a paper testimonial in this meeting.
