The seventh day of LaLiga 2024-25 closes with some changes at the top of the standings, except for the undisputed leadership of FC Barcelona
The seventh day of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 closed this Thursday with the narrow victory of Atlético de Madrid in the field of Celta (0-1), a victory that allows the 'colchoneros' to rise to third place in the standings before the capital derby against Real Madrid. FC Barcelona, for its part, remains the sole leader after defeating Getafe on Wednesday in Montjuïc (1-0).
In addition to 'Aleti', this Thursday Villarreal also won as a visitor against Espanyol (1-2), while Las Palmas and Betis tied on Canarian soil (1-1). For now, Real Madrid remains second to Barça with two points more than its 'red and white' neighbors. Villarreal also appears in the Champions zone, with 14, one point more than Athletic. For Barça, the next test will be in Pamplona, a match where the culés can equal their best historical start in the tournament, with 8 victories.
The top zone of the classification closes with Mallorca, sixth with 11 points, the same as Barça's next rival (Osasuna). Further down are Alavés (eighth with 10 points), Rayo, Celta and Betis (all with 9 points). In the relegation zone, for now, are Valladolid (5), Getafe (4) and Las Palmas (3).
