Real Madrid are second after beating Alavés at the Santiago Bernabéu (3-2), with goals from Lucas Vázquez, Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappé. The white team has 17 points, with 16 goals for and 5 against.

Athletic Club de Bilbao is in third position with 13 points, while Atlético de Madrid is fourth with 12 points, although they have one game less. The matchday will officially end next Thursday, September 26, when the three remaining matches between UD Las Palmas-Betis, Espanyol-Villarreal and Celta-Atleti will be played.
