This is the LaLiga standings after Barça's 'thrashing' of Girona

FC Barcelona maintains its solo lead in LaLiga EA Sports 2024-25 thanks to a resounding victory over Girona at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (4-1). The azulgrana team dominated the albirrojos thanks to goals from Lewandowski (x2) and Ferran Torres, as well as an own goal from Krejci, to pull ahead at the top of the standings and take another step towards the league title.

Barça (66) occupies the first place in the table with a three-point lead over Real Madrid, who are in second place with 63 points. Atlético de Madrid, for its part, may have definitively buried its aspirations in the championship race after their 'slip' against Espanyol (1-1), which leaves them third with 57 points, 9 units behind the Catalans.

Athletic Club remains 4th and is lurking behind Atlético, while Villarreal (5th) and Betis (6th) complete the spots for European competitions. Below the verdiblancos is, momentarily, Rayo (7th), ahead of Mallorca (8th). Further back are Celta (9th) and Real Sociedad (10th), and starting the second half of the table are Sevilla (11th) and Getafe (12th), followed by Girona (13th) and Osasuna (14th).
