LaLiga EA Sports has announced its nominees for the monthly awards it regularly bestows, spanning five specific categories: Goal of the Month, Save of the Month, Manager of the Month, Under-23 Player of the Month, and Best Player of the Month. For the October awards, the league has considered three prominent representatives from FC Barcelona: Hansi Flick, Pedri González, and Robert Lewandowski.

Hansi Flick, nominated for Manager of the Month in October

Hansi Flick, the first of the three mentioned, is competing in the Manager of the Month category. The Heidelberg native previously won this award in August of the 2024-25 season and is once again nominated this time due to FC Barcelona's impeccable performance during the current month. The Culés have had a dominant showing in the two matches played against Deportivo Alavés and Sevilla, securing resounding victories in both.

In the match against Deportivo Alavés, Barcelona secured a 3-0 victory, while against Sevilla, they achieved a commanding 5-1 win. The upcoming match against Real Madrid on Saturday, the 26th, is still pending. In this category, Hansi Flick will compete with Carlo Ancelotti from the Madrid side and Imanol Alguacil from Real Sociedad.

Pedri González, nominated for Best Under-23 Player in October

The second nominee from Barcelona for the LaLiga EA Sports awards in October is Pedri González, who is among the nominees for the Under-23 Player award. This is due to his participation in the two matches played by Barça so far, against Deportivo Alavés and Sevilla, totaling 173 minutes on the field, with 90 minutes played against the 'Babazorros' and 83 against the Sevillans.

In a notable detail, in the match against Sevilla, Pedri González scored a brilliant goal, a result of a superb combination between Lamine Yamal and Jules Koundé. After snatching a ball at the edge of the area, the Tegueste native unleashed a right-footed strike that beat the Sevilla keeper masterfully, showcasing great precision in his finish.

Pedri González will compete for this recognition with four other players: a former Barcelona player like Vítor Roque, Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, Real Sociedad's midfielder Luka Sučić, and finally Atletico Madrid's midfielder, Pablo Barrios.

Robert Lewandowski nominated for Best Player in October

Finally, there is the third nominee, Robert Lewandowski, who is in the running for the Player of the Month award. The Polish 'killer' has been considered by LaLiga for this accolade after playing a total of 156 minutes, split between 90 against Deportivo Alavés and 66 against Sevilla, scoring a total of five goals, including a hat-trick against the 'babazorros' and a brace against the Sevillistas. In this category, 'Lewy' competes with Vinicius Jr. from Real Madrid, Mikel Oyarzabal from Real Sociedad, Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, and Alex Berenguer from Athletic Club.
