Hansi Flick has confirmed the call-up of FC Barcelona for the first day of LaLiga against Valencia CF. The German coach will make his debut at Mestalla with important absences, but with the expected return of one of his great stars
Kickoff in LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 for FC Barcelona, who will have to overcome the visit to the always challenging Mestalla stadium to face off against Valencia CF. It will be Hansi Flick's debut in an official match. In the Valencian stronghold, the Baden-Württemberg native will seek to start his adventure as a Barça coach with a positive result that also allows the squad to regain good feelings after that bitter 0-3 defeat inflicted by AS Monaco in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
For this match, Hansi Flick has announced a squad that includes (22) players. Fortunately, the Catalan team has managed to find the means to register Iñigo Martínez, Pablo Torre, Marc Casadó, and Pau Víctor. In the case of the Basque defender, it is worth mentioning that he was able to be registered in LaLiga by taking advantage of Ronald Araújo's long-term injury, with the Culés club invoking Article 77 of the Economic Control Regulations.
At the same time, Álex Valle has been able to enter the Barcelona squad, but with the Barça B team's registration, the same mode through which Ander Astralaga, Héctor Fort, Gerard Martín, Domínguez and Marc Bernal. Now, in the section of registrations, Barcelona has finally encountered difficulties, with only the registration of Dani Olmo among those expected, as Vítor Roque, currently in an uncertain situation in the team, was expected to be left out of the call-up. Also surprising was the absence of Gündogan, who dropped out of the coach's call at the last minute.

Pedri, the 'signing' for Barça in the clash against the 'ches'
Regarding absences due to injury, they are still recovering from their respective physical setbacks: Pablo Gavi (complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in the right knee and an associated injury in the lateral meniscus), Ronald Araújo (injury to the hamstring tendon in the right thigh), Frenkie de Jong (severe grade two sprain in his right ankle), and Ansu Fati (injury to the sole of the right foot).
Fortunately for the German coach, he will be able to count, at least, on Pedri González, who for days has been training regularly with the group and gave the impression that the recovery of his grade 2 internal lateral sprain in his left knee was near. This impression is confirmed by his call-up for the clash against the 'ches'.
