The saga between LaLiga and Real Madrid over the referee complaints from the 'White House' had a new episode this Friday. The latest spokesperson for the 'merengue' team was none other than Carlo Ancelotti, who once again complained about the league's stance regarding the referees' performance in the press conference before the Madrid derby this Saturday, where Madrid and Atlético are fighting for the lead in the tournament.

"Tebas can rest assured because no one has lost their mind here.  We have only asked for an explanation to improve a system that, from what I hear, no one is happy with," the Italian coach began. In that sense, he added: "The others (clubs) are not happy because they think it is a system that favors Real Madrid, but when Madrid wants to change the system, the others want to reject it."

Furthermore, Ancelotti assured that Madrid has the right to request the review audios of the play that sparked the controversy in the Espanyol-Real Madrid match, regarding the unpunished expulsion of Carlos Romero. "We have requested audios, sometimes they have been released and other times they have not. I don't think we have asked for anything secret. We just want to know how they handled this play, there is nothing sinister about it," pointed out the coach of the 'merengue' team.

...And Tebas also asks 'Carletto' for "calm"

After the Italian coach's press conference, Javier Tebas, true to his custom, used his 'X' account to respond to 'Carletto's' statements. The president of LaLiga also asked the mister for "calm," assuring that "the Spanish competition is not adulterated." "We all want improvements in the refereeing organization and we have been demanding them for some time. That said, it's curious that Real Madrid, so concerned now, was part of the Board of Directors of the RFEF until November 2023... and didn't say a word", the Spanish leader stated in his message.

In this regard, he criticized the club's stance on the 'Negreira case' and its usual referee complaints through its television channel. "Why no proposals either in the Federation or in LaLiga? The excuse of changing the ownership model and the supposed 'expropriation' of LaLiga is not believed by anyone. Could this be a new excuse? Because we have already seen this theory from some spokespersons," Tebas concluded.
