A very short template
Dear Santa, please leave some for Barça
The team led by Hansi Flick started the season on a roll, but the lack of players has made the results worse when the schedule has tightened
Christmas is a time of joy, parties, smiles, family and gifts. Especially the latter, although it is not the most important, usually appears on these special dates. Taking advantage of the fact that Santa Claus's arrival is imminent, the author wants to make a request to that man with a long white beard who is dressed in red. If it is not too late for the request, it would be greatly appreciated if he could bring some money to Barça, which has been doing very well this season, but is having a hard time maintaining the intensity in such a busy calendar.
In order for Santa Claus to understand the request, it is important to help him put it into context. It has been a very long summer, with many expectations of signings, but only two have been able to be made. On top of that, they have not been registered until December, so Laporta and his Board of Directors have to find a solution to the issue. The squad is short, in addition to the fact that there have been several injuries, and it has had to be expanded by players from the reserve team and even youth players. The youngsters are very good, but inexperienced and, in some cases, the gap between the starters and the substitutes is very wide. This makes it very difficult to compete for all the titles, even though Hansi Flick is managing to get the most out of each member of his squad.
To begin with, there are players who do not even have a clear replacement, but the coach has to experiment as best he can. See the cases of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha or Lewandowski. On the other hand, the Blaugrana squad is made up of men who are facing their first season in the elite, so they are obviously not capable of contributing what their position competitors add. In this context, Mr. Noel, the editor of this article believes that a couple of low-cost signings with some experience would be a magnificent gift for FC Barcelona, whether to reinforce the full-backs, wingers or attacking point. It is important to remember that both the team and the coach have behaved very well.
I'm sure that Joan Laporta and Deco's letter is along the same lines, but things are very complicated. Finances are not letting go of the neck of a board that is looking to reinforce, as it can, the squad. There is a great leader at the helm, brought in from Germany, all that is missing is a couple more crew members and Barça will be back on track. I hope you can do something, Mr. Noel, remember that it is Christmas.
