Arturo Vidal could have started to tighten the rope to find that FC Barcelona transferred him to Inter Milan in this winter transfer market. According to the ABC newspaper, the Chilean midfielder would have denounced Barça before the LaLiga Mixed Commission and the AFE for an alleged non-payment of a portion of the bonus that should have won last year.
It is still unclear whether this alleged complaint is about a way to pressure the club in search of an exit to Italy or for a purely economic issue. The aforementioned Madrid newspaper notes that Vidal claims 2.4 million euros in terms of variables that he argues he fulfilled last season. The Barcelona team would not have paid it and that is why their lawyers would have filed this lawsuit on December 5.
In Barcelona they seem to be calm when it comes to demand and believe that it is due to an orchestrated maneuver to leave Inter in January. Vidal would be asking for an extra for having played 60 games that, according to Barcelona, the medium would not have fulfilled. In the contracts made by Barça, it is stipulated that a match only counts for bonuses if the player plays at least 45 minutes. Precisely for that reason, Vidal would not have reached the shocks he needed to take the amount he claims. The one in San Joaquin asks for half, while in the club they think they shouldn't give him anything.
In economic and contract terms, that would be the controversy that would have led the international to Chile to file this complaint with the team that pays him. From Barça they insist that they have not done anything wrong and that the movement is due to the will of the player to leave. The former Bayern Munich has been threatening to leave for months if he has no more minutes and could be pressing to let him out.
Inter wants Vidal at all costs
According to the latest information, Inter would have already made a first offer to the Catalans for the midfielder of 12 million euros. Barça, on the other hand, would be clear that it will not transfer him for less than 20. But this news was known before knowing that the Catalans will yield Carles Aleñá to Betis. The march of Mataró could have closed Vidal's door, since the squad would be left with only five midfielders: Busquets, Rakitic, Sergi Roberto, De Jong and Arthur.
But even if five players for three places don't sound bad, you have to keep in mind that Sergi Roberto is playing more sideways than medium. They would be, therefore, four in many occasions if the one of Reus is titular in band. In that case, Valverde should throw more of Riqui Puig, who could be the big beneficiary if Vidal ends up leaving. We will have to see what the complaint is and what happens in January with the interest of Inter and the will to retain that of San Joaquín del Barça.
