The Chilean midfielder of FC Barcelona, Arturo Vidal, has not hesitated to position himself through social media regarding the controversy that exists in Colo-Colo

Calendar of FC Barcelona

It is well known that Arturo Vidal has no hair on his tongue, and he never hides when criticizing any situation that seems unfair to him. On this occasion he has not raised his voice for his own reasons, but for something that is affecting the players of Colo-Colo, the club where the '22' of Barça carved a name in his native country before making the jump to major european leagues.

Through a message published on his Instagram account, Arturo Vidal has protested harshly against the Colo-Colo leaders, coming out in defense of the players after their salaries have been severely cut, without reaching an agreement previous. Arturo Vidal has taken a side in favor of the Chilean team, and his comments on social networks have been quick to go viral.

It should be borne in mind that the Colo Colo players are at odds with the club's management, chaired by Aníbal Mosa, due to a reduction in salaries that the athletes did not accept in the midst of the health crisis in the South American country because of of the coronavirus.

In this sense, the FC Barcelona player has clearly positioned himself in favor of his fellow professionals and has won praise and criticism through social networks, generating a great debate. “All my support to the Colo Colo players in this sad situation. All over the world, agreements are being negotiated and reached. Black and White wants to take advantage of this crisis to solve its serious management problems at the expense of the wages of its workers. It is a stain that will remain forever. Colo Colo is one of its people! Colo Colo is respected !!! ", he has written.

Barça reach an agreement with their players

The situation of Colo-Colo is not comparable to that of FC Barcelona, where the club and the staff negotiated the salary reduction and, from the first moment, in the Barça dressing room they threw in common sense when it came to lowering their salaries in an obvious way, also paying the wages of the entity's workers directly affected by the coronavirus.

We will see if Colo-Colo ends up reaching an agreement with its players to lower the tension, although what is clear is that the participation in this controversy by Arturo Vidal has only mediated the controversy even more.
