Calendar of FC Barcelona

The serial of the summer will be, definitely, the future of Leo Messi. The Argentinian star pretends to leave free of the FC Barcelona because he and his surroundings interpret that the agreement that links him to the Barcelona club like this allows it to him. Josep Maria Bartomeu and the managerial board that heads, by his part, consider that the footballer has agreement in force with a clause of 700 millions, something that LaLiga backed.

Jordi Mestre, ex sportive vice-president of the FC Barcelona, went through the microphones of RAC1 and analysed the peliaguda situation that has given between the club and his star. "It does not have evidence that me Leo Messi can free without paying the clause. It does not have felt to sign an agreement with a player and that leave when it give him wins it. The agreements have to fulfil and sign it both parts", said.

"There is a clause of 700 million euros and that if Leo Messi wants to go, has to pay"

The ex director of the FC Barcelona remembered that, in his last renewal, Leo Messi went up his clause of rescission until the 700 million euros like blindaje anti-sheiks. "The key of everything is on 10 June", underlined, adding that "what say me from the club is that there is a clause of 700 million euros and that if Messi wants to go, has to pay. The club has it very clear. With Neymar, the PSG paid the clause".

In summary, Jordi Mestre thinks that with the situation of tension that has formed between the FC Barcelona and Leo Messi "already is late for pactar". "It has gone in in a dynamics of lawyers and burofax that has done a lot of noise. I think that if it had spoken in person, it would have arrived to an agreement. To me it would like me that there was a pact, this situation does not benefit to anybody", commented.

Besides, Jordi Mestre considers that the decision of Leo Messi has not taken apresuradamente, but it has been meditada during time. "Leo Messi is in his right to go , but has to fulfil the steps and the dates, as Xavi Hernández or Andrés Iniesta. All knew that it would not be eternal. The 2-8 has hurt to all the world, but this is not a decision of a day", sentenced.

The board of Josep Maria Bartomeu

Jordi Mestre also spoke on Josep Maria Bartomeu and the work of his together directivva during the last years. "Has to do balance of the things of a more global way. No only it has to value what is happening now. They have won titles and all, when it takes decisions, makes a mistake. I think that Bartomeu has done well not resigning, would have been contraproducente", concluded.
