In spite of the appeal of the FC Barcelona and the existence of similar cases without punishment, the club and Leo Messi will have to pay the fines, because the Argentinian violated the regulation to the lucir the elastic of Newell's in honour to Maradona

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The Committee of Appeal of the Real Spanish Federation of Football (RFEF) decided to keep the sanction imposed by the Committee of Competition of 600 euros to Leo Messi, after the forward of the FC Barcelona removed the T-shirt for lucir the elastic of Newell's, with the '10', in homage to the star of the world-wide football Diego Armando Maradona, the one who died some days before this party in front of the Osasuna.

With the decision, has shattered the appeal of Catalan club, that also will have to go down with 180 euros, since the dictamen of the Committee of Competition of the past 2 December, is that: "Still being evident the reason loable to remove the T-shirt, in homage to the demise of Diego Armando Maradona, the true is that the article 91 of the valid Disciplinary Code does not establish any reason of exception of responsibility derived to remove the T-shirt".

Besides, the mentioned instance "signals that it will be sancionable the heave the T-shirt with reason of the celebration of a goal, was cual was the content of the legend or the reason of the action". Therefore, so much The Flea like the Barça will have to credit the fine by the gesture that gave the turn to the world.

Everything occurred when the Argentinian marked the fourth goal of the Barcelona against the Osasuna, in a duel that contested in the Camp Nou by LaLiga Santander. Messi, conscious that the moment could present, carried under the Barcelona a T-shirt of Newell's, team in which it played 'The Lint' between 1993 and 1994, and where besides the own Leo gave his first steps.

The decision results controversial, taking in account other cases in which it did not act with the same severity. For example, Sergio Bouquets, showed in his opportunity a T-shirt with the registration: "Door, brother, D.And.P., we will not forget you", in homage to the died Antonio Door, by which saw a yellow, that went later withdrawal.

More similar cases

The same happened with José Alley (Espanyol), the one who showed a T-shirt in homage to the died Dani Jarque after annotating a goal, but was not admonished. Also it was forgiven Andreas Pereira (Granada) afterwards that it showed a message in solidarity with the Chapecoense by the aerial tragedy. Only it saw a yellow, that left without effect the Committee of Competition.

Equally, in 2010, Cristiano Ronaldo when it played in the Real Madrid taught a T-shirt in which it read "Madeira", in solidarity with the strong floods that asolaron the island. The referee did not show him yellow, but reflected it in the record. However, it was not fined.
