Terrible news for Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian coach announced at the press conference prior to the match against Valladolid on Sunday that Jude Bellingham had suffered a knock in training on Friday. Minutes later, the Merengue club announced on its website that the midfielder has "an injury to the plantar muscle of his right leg", which, according to various reports, will keep him out for a month.

The Real Madrid star was unable to finish the session on August 23 due to the knock suffered near the end of training. The English international was forced to leave the Valdebebas pitch and immediately underwent various tests, which determined the problem that will keep him out of the Merengue first team, in principle, until after the international break in September.

Bellingham will therefore miss Sunday's match against the pucelanos and at least three other league matches, where the Casa Blanca will face Las Palmas, Betis and Real Sociedad. In addition, given the initial estimated deadlines, he would arrive very close to the match against Espanyol. He will also not be available for 'Carletto' in Madrid's debut in the Champions League, which could take place between 17 and 19 September and whose opponent will be known after the draw on Thursday 29.

Another 'crack' in the infirmary

With this physical setback, Jude joins Eduardo Camavinga and David Alaba on the list of important casualties for the whites. The Frenchman suffered a sprain in the internal collateral ligament of his left knee in the run-up to the European Super Cup match and, a priori, his return is expected for the end of September or the beginning of October. Meanwhile, the Austrian is still recovering from the cruciate ligament injury he suffered last season and which will keep him out of the group dynamics until December, if everything goes according to plan.
