Another problem for Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid. The white team confirmed on September 2 the injury of another midfielder. We are talking about Dani Ceballos, who has been diagnosed with a grade III sprain with ligament involvement in his right ankle. This was determined by the tests carried out by the Medical Services of the Madrid club.

In the 2-0 victory of the merengues against Real Betis, Ceballos limped off the field in the 65th minute and was replaced by Brahim Díaz. The white team has not given a specific date for his return, although it is estimated that he will be out for between 2 and 3 months, due to the severity of an injury in that area of the ankle. This is the third ankle injury suffered by the player, who has already had problems in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Madrid's midfield is in crisis

This is the worst news that the Italian coach could receive, who has already suffered important losses in his midfield. Apart from the Spaniard, Camavinga suffered a sprained internal collateral ligament in his left knee in training prior to the European Super Cup and has no return date. Jude Bellingham is also injured and could return at the end of September, so Real Madrid's midfield is in crisis.

At the moment, Ancelotti only has Valverde, Tchouaméni and Modric as pure midfielders. We can also add Güler and Brahim, but they occupy more offensive positions, although they may have to 'sacrifice' themselves for the team, taking into account that the Croatian is not fit to play 90 minutes. So this international break suits Madrid very well, who will be able to count on several days to speed up the recovery of their players. We will see how they do afterwards.
