Luka Modric has gone from being one of the undisputed players in the white squad to becoming a rotation option with which Ancelotti counts little. Now, at 38 years old, the Croatian could be going through his last season at Real Madrid
Luka Modric Has stood out like one of the most prominent midfield players in the history of the Real Madrid, conquering diverse titles and consolidating as an exceptional player. Nevertheless, to his 38 years, seems that this season could be the last in which it carry the white T-shirt, according to his recent statements.
As it informs SPORT, from the capital seem to have clear that will not offer a renewal to the Croatian midfield player, unlike other veterans like Toni Kroos or Lucas Vázquez. Modric, by his part, is not satisfied with this decision, since the past summer had several offers and opted for remaining to follow contributing to the team, although it has not had so many minutes as it would wish, and his paper in the team has lost importance.
In statements to Real Madrid TV after the training of open doors of 29 December, Modric expressed his doubts on his continuity the next season: "The plan is to go on doing history, follow winning titles and ojalá happen this season. 'Tension' between Ancelotti and Modric

It is a big news for all that follow until 2026".
Although it is likely that the Italian technician resort to Modric and give him a vote of confidence because of the numerous drops in the centre of the field, the Croat no longer has the same weight in the team that had during so many years. Still it remains for seeing what offers the future of the player, but the most likely is that this was his last season like member of the Real Madrid.
