Controversy at Real Madrid. The Merengue team is not at all happy after their 1-1 draw against Mallorca in Son Moixafter their 1-1 draw against Mallorca in Son Moix and they have made this clear in the latest video on their TV. The white club made public an audiovisual in which they review the errors that, in their opinion, César Soto Grado made in their first game in the 2024-2025 LaLiga season.

The game had several 'questionable' actions that the Merengue team has compiled and presented up to eight dubious plays, ranging from Samú's tackle on Vinicius Jr to a handball by Maffeo in the final minutes of the game. However, this is not the first time that Real Madrid's official television has reviewed the refereeing at the end of each game. This practice was put in place last season and has returned this campaign.

The 'dubious' plays that Real Madrid saw

In the Real Madrid TV video, the team considers that the referee made many mistakes against Carlo Ancelotti's team. The first was a clash between Samu Costa and Vinicius Jr, which ended with the Brazilian on the ground and which for the club was a foul that should have been signaled by the referee. According to the white channel, the second error was an action between Maffeo and Mbappé that should also have meant a clear foul.

Although the action that angered the white club the most was Maffeo's stomp on Vinicius, which for Soto Grado meant nothing, but the white channel interpreted it as a clear red card for Mallorca. In this act they not only pointed out the referee, but also Iglesias Villanueva, who was in the VAR and did not contribute anything.

In the audiovisual, the merengue TV continues to show alleged errors by Soto Grado and even asked for a penalty for grabbing Militao. This action came to nothing and the white club emphasized that the game did not offer any repetition of that moment. In the 91st minute they again asked for a penalty for a handball by Maffeo in the area. The video ends with the following sentence: "Out of 11 fouls, Mallorca finished the game with only one yellow card for its players, when there were enough actions to have seen some more. In fact, the only yellow card had to be a red card."

Without a doubt, this is quite questionable behavior from the merengue team, who have been able to create and publish this type of video without any kind of restriction. Everything seems to indicate that they will continue to do so, so next week we can expect more questions to the LaLiga referees, when they face Valladolid on Sunday, August 25.
