Toni Kroos made the biggest splash of last season when he announced his retirement from professional football. The former Real Madrid midfielder ended his career after being eliminated from Euro 2024 at the hands of Lamine Yamal's Spain, and although it has not yet been six months since he 'hung up his boots', the German has already made public his desire to return to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Speaking on his podcast 'Einfach mal luppen', which he presents with his brother Felix, the 2014 world champion revealed that he does not rule out returning to the white club one day, not as a footballer but in another role, to remain linked to the institution.

The words of Toni Kroos

"The importance of Real will always be the same for me. It was a very long, great, successful and also affectionate stage. That will always remain, I will always feel close to Real, there is no doubt about that. And I will always defend Real, I will always be on their side. That will not change, the relationship is simply too close," the German began by saying, before confirming his desire to return to Valdebebas in the future.

"Placing myself publicly in the Real environment is something that I would say is not a relevant issue for me at the moment. For now I would say: no, no matter how closely linked I am to the club. But I am not saying that I will never again in my entire life do something with Real or have anything to do with the club, I would not rule that out, of course. In what role, that remains to be seen. But I do not rule out that at some point I may be seen again in some role at Real," he concluded.
