THE ARABS INSIST ON THE MERENGUE TEAM
They don't give up! Saudi Arabia insists on 'catching' one of Real Madrid's stars
If one thing is clear, it is that the Saudi Pro League refuses to give up when it comes to a Real Madrid player. After multiple rejections, the Arabs continue to work to tempt one of the best players in Carlo Ancelotti's team
Saudi Arabia's dedication is to be admired. Despite the multiple rejections they have received from Real Madrid players, the directors of Arab football refuse to accept a "no" for an answer. Although everything seems to indicate that they will have to give up their efforts to "fish" in the capital of Spain, at least for this season.
Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear many times: "The Real Madrid squad is closed." Therefore, no news is expected regarding the arrival or departure of players from Madrid between now and the end of the transfer market on August 31. The Italian coach is quite happy with what he has and does not want to lose any of his stars, even if the Arabs threaten to do otherwise.
Saudi Arabia wants Eder Militao
The penultimate attempt in the Saudi Pro League was Vinicius Jr. This did not represent a surprise in the merengue team, because at 24 years old, the Brazilian has established himself as a world-class footballer despite his young age. They offered him a salary of 1 billion euros for five seasons, offering 200 million to Real Madrid for his signing. Logically, the white club rejected it, arguing that if they wanted to take him they would have to pay the striker's release clause, valued at 1 billion euros.
Now, they want to tempt Eder Militao. According to information from ‘Ge.Globo’, a team would have contacted the player to make known their interest in signing him. It is not yet clear which club it is, but the same strategy was followed as with Vinicius. 1 billion euros for five seasons, but the offer for his departure would be 170M€. This is a fairly attractive offer, taking into account that the Merengue board paid 50 million euros for his services in the summer of 2019.
However, Madrid has responded in the same way as they did with Vinicius. The Brazilian centre-back will not leave the club this summer and if they want him to, they will have to pay the 1 billion euros of his release clause. This will be Militao's sixth season at the team and the white club do not plan to lose him, at least not in this transfer window.
