The FC Barcelona apparently starts to find more problems regarding their options to make money with Vitor Roque soon. In that sense, concerning the future of 'Tigrinho', there are two clubs that seemed quite clear to possibly host a transfer for him in the summer: the Real Betis and Palmeiras. However, the reality of the interest of these two teams in the forward could be taking a 180-degree turn.
Real Betis could 'forget' about the buyout option it has on 'Tigrinho'
For example, at Real Betis, a team that has an option to extend his loan for the next season and also has a clause in their loan agreement that allows them to sign him for around 25 million euros (80% of the pass), in this winter market, they have strengthened with Juan Camilo 'Cucho' Hernández, a forward for whom they have invested around 13 million euros. This represents one of the largest outlays the Andalusian team has made recently.
With this in mind, it is not surprising to think that maybe the quota of attackers might already be covered with the addition of the Colombian. In view of this, the addition of Vitor Roque could shift from being a priority to being more of an option.
It will be interesting to see how the end of the 2024-25 season for 'Tigrinho' with Real Betis, which has positioned itself as a good goal scorer for Manuel Pellegrini's team, being the second top scorer with a total of seven goals in 29 matches. Therefore, if his performance at the end of the season is good, it would not be unlikely for the 'verdiblancos' to consider keeping him. However, with this move of 'Cucho' Hernández, this looks more complex.
Palmeiras is also considering another interesting target to reinforce its attack
On the other hand, addressing Palmeiras' alleged interest in his services, a team that was willing to offer around 27 million euros for 80% of his federative rights to sign him even in this just-ended winter market, other alternatives are being considered to strengthen their offense. An interesting name has emerged in their orbit: Roberto Firmino.
The former Liverpool player, it is important to remember that after finishing his European adventure with the 'red' team, he packed his bags to mark his golden retirement in Saudi Arabian football, where he currently is one of the offensive references of Al-Ahli. However, he seems not to be very comfortable in Middle Eastern football, where he continues to demonstrate that he has more than enough quality.
Therefore, at 33 years old, he does not rule out embarking on an adventure in Brazilian football, where he never had the opportunity to play for one of the most representative teams. However, it has been reported from the land of the 'Canarinha' that apparently, at the moment, there is no open negotiation between Palmeiras and Firmino, who ends his contract with the Arab team on June 30, 2026.
FC Barcelona is still awaiting a proposal for the '9'
In this aspect, Vitor Roque has a slight advantage, as there have been direct contacts with the surroundings of the FC Barcelona forward. However, it is clear that as long as these kinds of scenarios exist, the options to find a new destination for the native of Timóteo, at least in these two clubs, may become complex.
Will the opportunity to let him go to another team arise in the summer market? Will other assets be interested in the Brazilian forward? Only time will tell. What does seem certain is that the summer will be lively around the figure of Vitor Roque.
