The 'Vecchia Signora' puts Vlahović on the market and already sets his departure price: is it convenient for Barça?

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Despite the fact that FC Barcelona does not prioritize reinforcing the attack in the next summer market —especially the '9' position, where between Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres and Pau Víctor it is considered covered—, it maintains the expectation of taking advantage of some market opportunity that allows it to strengthen its offensive front with a stellar name, even if it is not an imperative need.

One of the players who has been rumored as a possible reinforcement for the Blaugrana offense is the 25-year-old Serbian striker, Dušan Vlahović. This season, the striker has gone through ups and downs, especially because he started the 2024/25 season without counting too much for Thiago Motta, then coach of the 'Vecchia Signora'. This situation fueled numerous rumors about a possible departure of the '9'.

These speculations have not completely dissipated. Although Igor Tudor has recently taken over the technical direction of the Turin team, Vlahović's sporting situation remains uncertain. Although he has a contract until June 30, 2026, his renewal does not seem to be on track, which could lead Juventus to consider his sale in the next market.

Vlahović's departure price: 55 million euros

In this context, it has recently been revealed what his departure price would be. According to the English website 'CaughtOffside', 'Juve' would be willing to let Vlahović go for an amount close to €55M.

That would be the amount that Barça —or any other interested club— would have to pay to acquire the services of the Serbian 'killer'. It should be remembered that, although the Blaugrana team still has the player on their radar as a possible incorporation, it gives the impression of not having made a final decision. In addition, other Premier League teams, such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United or Newcastle, would also be willing to submit proposals for him.

Also, according to the same source, Vlahović would be requesting a salary close to €10M per season. A high amount that could represent an obstacle for several suitors.

Is the investment worth it for Barça?

Therefore, it remains to be seen if Barcelona would be willing to make such a strong economic bet for a player who, in principle, is not among the priorities of the sports management. In the '9' position, other names have been mentioned with more force, such as Alexander Isak (Newcastle United) or Viktor Gyökeres (Sporting de Portugal), while options such as Vlahović would only be considered if favorable economic conditions were presented for the club's finances.
