Manchester City is not stopping in the winter market. The next reinforcement on the way for the 'citizens' is Omar Marmoush, forward from Eintracht who has scored 20 goals this season
Pep Guardiola is one step away from incorporating his third reinforcement of the winter market for Manchester City. According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the 'sky blue' board has finalized the signing of Omar Marmoush, the trending forward in the Bundesliga. The Egyptian excelled in the first half of the season with Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring 20 goals in 26 matches, along with 14 assists.
The 25-year-old forward arrived free at Eintracht in 2023 from Wolfsburg and, in a year and a half, he has scored 37 goals in 67 official appearances, where he also added 20 assists. In the 2023-24 season, Marmoush finished the year with 17 goals in 41 matches, good records, but far from his extraordinary scoring average of the 2024-25 season, where he remained as a runner-up to Harry Kane in the Bundesliga Pichichi table with 15 goals, just one less than the Englishman.

More speed and power for City's attack
According to information leaked by Fabrice Hawkins, the transfer of Marmoush will be closed for approximately 70 million euros. Guardiola prioritized the arrival of another scorer to not depend exclusively on Erling Haaland, who has lowered his level in recent months. The poor form of Jack Grealish and the inconsistency of Phil Foden convinced Pep of the need to add another winger, especially since Jérémy Doku has also failed to explode in the 'Mancunian' attack.
With Omar Marmoush, City adds a forward characterized by his speed and power, as well as being a very technical player who was also on FC Barcelona's radar, although Eintracht's financial demands were too high for the culé budget. The other two reinforcements for the 'sky blue' team, center-backs Abdukodir Khusanov (20 years old) and Vitor Reis (19), are expected to join the team in the coming days.
