FC Barcelona is considering bringing back Mingueza, who is having a stellar moment at Celta, to reinforce the defensive line

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Mingueza is one of the revelations of LaLiga. The Catalan footballer has been reborn wearing the Celta shirt, leaving behind his past as a centre-back. Now he is a right-footed full-back who stands out for his vision and his associative ability. Thus, FC Barcelona is following him closely, to the point of having sounded out his return.

Sharing rights with Celta

The Barça youth player arrived in Vigo in 2022, at zero cost. However, Barça kept 50% of his sporting rights. After the player's explosion, this percentage has become very important for the Catalans. Celta refers to his termination clause, of 20 million euros, in the event of a possible transfer. Thus, the Blaugrana team has two options open to them: pay 10 million to get him back or receive that amount in a sale.

For its part, the Galician team is considering the possibility of obtaining 100% ownership of the defender. It will not enter into disputes with FC Barcelona. If there is a willingness to reach an agreement, negotiations will be held in search of a solution that is gratifying for all parties. If not, a transfer that brings benefits to both clubs will be made.

FC Barcelona sound out Mingueza

Barça has already told Mingueza that it is considering his return. In September there were contacts, but only through intermediaries. However, serious conversations have now taken place. In this context, the Blaugrana team feels advantaged by having half of the player's rights. However, the culé is not the only proposal that the Santa Perpètua de Mogoda native has on the table.

The Catalan defender is in no hurry to leave Celta. He is one of the fans' idols and his weight in the squad is great. However, as FCBN has been able to find out, he is not closed to moving in search of better sporting and economic conditions.
