Barça has set its sights on Geovany Quenda as a potential reinforcement for the winger position. The clause for the Sporting CP player would rise to 100 million euros.
With just under five months until the opening of the summer transfer window, the FC Barcelona winger 'casting' continues its course. Once back to the 1:1 rule, the Blaugrana entity has prioritized the arrival of a winger to strengthen the attack for the upcoming season, and several names are being considered by the management.
World-class figures like Rafael Leao, Nico Williams, or Luis Díaz emerge as major targets for the club, which is also closely monitoring young talents who could become top-tier stars in the future. In this regard, Geovany Quenda, a 17-year-old Portuguese winger from Sporting CP, has reportedly joined the list of potential signings for the Catalans.
Barça has already spoken with his agent
This is reported by journalist Rudy Galetti, who stated that at Can Barça, they have set their sights on the Portuguese due to the spectacular level he has shown this season, where he has scored two goals and provided six assists in 31 matches, being one of the most disruptive players for the lions.
In fact, in the meeting held by Deco with his representative, Jorge Mendes, the Blaugrana executive reportedly communicated to the agent that they will continue to evaluate him throughout the rest of the season with the aim of assessing his signing next summer.
The operation for Quenda, however, will not be straightforward, as the player has a contract until 2027 and his release clause is valued at 100 million euros. Additionally, the interest from clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool in the winger poses a significant obstacle for the Catalans, who will continue to analyze his signing in the coming months.
