FC Barcelona is closely monitoring the situation of one of the 'jewels' of Bayern Munich. However, the Munich club apparently plans to offer a very attractive renewal proposal to convince the player to stay
Could Jamal Musiala reach FC Barcelona? For now, this option seems more like a utopia than a near reality. Why? Although the interest of the Blaugrana in the young 'jewel' of Bayern Munich appears to be genuine, potentially driven by Hansi Flick, who has already coached the attacking midfielder and might value his inclusion due to his outstanding sporting abilities, the transaction seems to be drifting further away.
Initially, Barcelona's interest in Jamal Musiala, beyond his on-field performances, was based on the uncertainty surrounding his renewal with Bayern Munich. With his contract expiring on June 30, 2026, two options were being considered: to bring him in as a free agent at the end of his contract or to explore a transfer in favorable conditions for the Culés in the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, the outlook for this situation seems unfavorable for Barcelona. Firstly, Jamal Musiala has shown willingness to negotiate his renewal with Bayern, and secondly, the Bavarian club seems open to renewing his contract and offering him an attractive environment, positioning him as a key star in their present and future project.
The 'astronomical' salary Bayern aims to offer Jamal Musiala for his renewal
As reported by the media outlet 'Sport1', Bayern Munich is preparing an attractive salary offer to convince Jamal Musiala to stay at the club. Rumors suggest that the Munich-based team's proposal could be around 22 million euros gross per season, including bonuses, representing a significant increase from the approximately five million euros gross that the Stuttgart native currently earns as a base salary.
If this new salary for Jamal Musiala is confirmed, it would place him among the highest-paid players at Bayern Munich. In fact, according to 'Capology' metrics, he would only be behind Harry Kane, who receives 25 million euros gross per season.
This clearly demonstrates Die Roten's determination to retain their young star. Additionally, Max Eberl, Bayern's sporting director, has even stated that in his new renewal agreement, they would not include a release clause, aiming to prevent other teams from securing the services of a Jamal Musiala who seems increasingly committed to Bayern.
