Palmeiras' interest in Vitor Roque could take a radical turn regarding the future of the forward currently on loan at Betis. The 'verdiblanco' team, in fact, is calculating with a covert operation

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Real Betis could surprise FC Barcelona regarding the future of Vitor Roque. The 'verdiblancos' have a purchase option for 'Tigrinho' for 25 million euros at the end of the 2024-25 season, but Palmeiras' growing interest in the 19-year-old forward radically changes the scenario for the remainder of the winter market. Initially, 'Verdao' is willing to put 27 'kilos' on the table for the player from Timóteo, 2M€ more than what the 'verdiblanco' team has to pay to Barça.

In this sense, the latest reports indicate Betis' interest in paying Roque's clause to subsequently bet on a loan or transfer that leaves significant profits in the Andalusian coffers. This would be feasible through a covert operation with Palmeiras, as the Brazilians prioritize having the attacker from this January, thinking about the local league and the Copa Libertadores.

Barça, attentive to Palmeiras' interest in Vitor Roque

Otherwise, the team led by Abel Ferreira will have to wait until July to have Vitor. The 19-year-old player has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 28 matches (1,582 minutes) with Betis and the arrival of his compatriot Antony at Benito Villamarín could represent a turning point in his performance, as in many matches the '8' seems too isolated in coach Manuel Pellegrini's scheme.

Meanwhile, Barça is awaiting direct contact with Palmeiras, as the 'Verdao' offer improves the price that, in theory, Betis must pay for 'Tigrinho'. The Paulista club has just received 40 million euros net from the transfer of central defender Vitor Reis (19 years old) to Manchester City and has enough money in the bank to make one or two 'top' signings before the start of the 2025 season in Brazil.
