According to the aforementioned source, Chelsea would be interested in acquiring the services of Fermín López and would have presented an initial offer of approximately €30 million for the 21-year-old midfielder from Huelva.
However, Barcelona would have promptly rejected this proposal, arguing that Fermín López is an important asset in the Blaugrana squad. Therefore, they will not enter negotiations for less than €60 million, a figure that doubles the initial offer and aligns more with his market value according to 'Transfermarkt' (€50 million).
Would the London-based team match this price?
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea or another team will ultimately risk presenting an offer of €60 million for Fermín López, a player who has proven to be vital for FC Barcelona's aspirations. After an impeccable 2023-24 season, where he finished as one of the top scorers of the Blaugrana team with 11 goals, the Huelva-born player has earned an important place in the Catalan squad, and it will be interesting to follow his evolution in the transfer market.
