FC Barcelona has revealed Pau Víctor's termination clause. The forward signed for 5 seasons, until 2029, with the aim of earning his place in the first team

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona board has assured the future of Pau Víctor. The club closed his transfer in the summer in exchange for 2.7 million euros paid to Girona with a contract for five seasons, until June 2029, after his great year with the reserve team (20 goals and 6 assists in 39 games). However, his termination clause was a mystery until now, since during the signing of his contract few details were revealed by the club.

According to the information published by 'Mundo Deportivo', the starting price for the player from San Cugat del Vallés is 100 million euros. The signing of Pau was the first reinforcement of the summer, an operation that the board had decided even before the hiring of Hansi Flick. Since the beginning of the preseason, the 22-year-old player managed to earn his place, becoming the revelation of the American tour.

In this way, Barça opted for Víctor as Robert Lewandowski's substitute, ruling out alternatives such as Marc Guiu (he was sold to Chelsea) and Vitor Roque (loaned to Betis), a role that the '18' has been able to take advantage of. At the moment he has 1 goal and 1 assist in 7 appearances (132 minutes) in which he has left very good feelings. Beyond the return of Ansu Fati and the presence of Ferran Torres, the forward is clear about how to take advantage of his minutes in the League and Champions League.

Barça avoids taking risks with the future of its 'jewels'

Pau Víctor's clause also ratifies Barça's commitment to young talent. Like the forward, the club updated the starting prices of Marc Casadó (€100M) and Marc Bernal (€500M), the last youth players to establish themselves in the first team. With the '18', the club still has a pending issue to resolve, because like Dani Olmo he is only registered until the end of the year. However, the board hopes to resolve the registrations of both in the coming weeks thanks to the income derived from the new contract with Nike.
