Paris Saint-Germain seems determined to go after several 'cracks' from FC Barcelona. The last Barça starter on the radar of Luis Enrique's men would be Jules Koundé, a key piece in Hansi Flick's scheme

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona's great start to the season has revalued most of the starting players for coach Hansi Flick. After a 2023 of many ups and downs, one of those who has shown the best level in recent months is Jules Koundé.

The Frenchman has definitely adapted to playing on the right wing and Paris Saint-Germain would be willing to tempt Barça with an offer that is difficult to reject. According to the latest information, the team led by Luis Enrique could put 100 million euros on the table for the 25-year-old defender.

Koundé has a contract until 2027 and, like other 'cracks' in the squad, the Barça board set the defender's termination clause at 1,000 million euros after signing him for five seasons in 2022. Hence, in principle, the Barça does not consider listening to offers for the one from Paris.

Furthermore, the Frenchman will still have two years left on his contract at the end of 2024/25, so it is likely that the club will initiate contact with the player to renew him in the coming months.

PSG's plan to leave Barça without Koundé in 2025

However, PSG hopes that, with an offer of around 100 'kilos', Barça will change its mind about Jules' future. Likewise, the Parisian team would try to convince Jules to change his scene to return to his country and settle again in the position where he feels most comfortable: the center of the defense.

And, facing 2025, Luis Enrique prioritizes incorporating a younger center back for a defense that, at the moment, has the Brazilian Marquinhos (30) and the Ecuadorian Willian Pacho (23) as starting center backs. 'Lucho's commitment to the South American footballer, instead of the experienced Milan Skriniar (29), shows the Asturian's intention to rejuvenate his defense.

In this way, Paris seems to have opted for Koundé as one of its priorities for next season. The club has also had Ronald Araújo and Lamine Yamal in its sights, but the rumors about both have cooled in recent months, especially in the case of the 'Charrúa', due to his prolonged absence due to injury.
