FC Barcelona continues to work on the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. Despite the income from the new contract with Nike, LaLiga still does not give the green light for the registration of the players for the second half of the season. In this regard, Joan Laporta explained, during the club's Christmas lunch, the solutions that the board has on the table for the league to authorize both contracts before the end of the year.

"We have filed some claims, but without acrimony. We want to keep all avenues open. We are appealing that, with the margin of the salary left by Ter Stegen's injury, Olmo and Pau can fit in, the Barça president began to say. In that sense, he made it clear that the club will continue to exhaust all possible alternatives to resolve both operations.

"The contract with Nike is also fundamental, it is the best contract in the world. We have the assembly on the 21st and we will work to get it approved, to have one more tool to register them. We are also looking for other ways to comply with the 'Fair Play' rules," Laporta added. LaLiga will not register the renewal with Nike until the board approves it in the assembly of delegates, which will again be held this Saturday remotely.

Barça will also exhaust the legal route to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

Another option that Barça is working on to resolve the registrations of their only two reinforcements from last summer is a precautionary lawsuit. Next Monday, the club will go to the Commercial Court to present the case, claiming to have sufficient financial solvency to include both players in the second half of the 2024/25 season, beyond the obstacles posed by LaLiga.

Last week, Javier Tebas referred to the issue, specifically to Dani Olmo, whose contract is more difficult to fit into the culé salary margin. "I hope and wish that Barça succeeds, I am positive and optimistic. In the end, Barça always manages to register the players, but we will see... Besides, he is a player I like a lot," commented the LaLiga president.
