Dani Olmo did not hesitate to address in a recent interview several issues surrounding his arrival at FC Barcelona, including his conversations with Deco, his main motivations and wishes. For Barcelona fans, one of the most anticipated faces for the 2024/25 season is Dani Olmo. "It was a dream for me to come back home. The club fought to make it happen, and there was no other way. There were other options, but when Barça showed such desire and initiative, I didn't think twice. Coming back home, to my family and friends, was a dream," he added.

In this line of thought, the academy product revealed that although he didn't speak with Hansi Flick before joining FC Barcelona, he had "conversations with Deco where he conveyed the coach and staff's eagerness to bring me here". He also expressed his enthusiasm for playing alongside his Spanish national teammates and several stars within the Blaugrana ecosystem. "Playing with all of them at the club was a goal and makes everything easier. Playing with them at the Spotify Camp Nou and also with other players like Frenkie, Lewandowski, and Ronald…," he noted.

In addition to this, Dani Olmo took the opportunity to send a hopeful message to Barcelona fans, conveying optimism about the team's readiness to achieve great things. "We have very ambitious players, they should be calm because we have a team for many years, to win titles and celebrate with them, we always want to win," he explained.
