The young Bournemouth center-back speaks for the first time about his possible release price and the rumors linking him to the white club
Dean Huijsen has become one of the most talked-about names recently in the international sports scene. And how could he not? If the Spanish-Dutch defender, at 19 years old, is demonstrating impressive playing conditions, a very good physical bearing (he is 1.97 meters tall), which gives him a great advantage in aerial play.
In turn, he possesses great tactical intelligence to anticipate, aggression and precision in one-on-one situations, ambidexterity, good exit from the back and courage to drive and break lines with long passes. All these conditions have aroused the interest of several 'top' clubs in Europe.
A career in which clubs such as Real Madrid have joined, FC Barcelona, some from the Premier League such as Chelsea and Liverpool, and even Bayern Munich. They all already know, from a very good source, how much they will have to pay if they want to sign the defender owned by AFC Bournemouth. An amount that, perhaps, is affordable if the conditions and projection of the defender are considered.
Huijsen talks about his future and his release clause
Dean Huijsen gave an extensive interview to the program 'Los Amigos de Edu', hosted by journalist Edu Aguirre, in which he addressed various issues. Among them, he talked about his future and left an interesting statement when referring to his release clause, after being asked about the interest of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea: "They are great teams. I don't know, it depends on many things. I have a clause, but I don't know what the price would be." A value that sources rumor would be just over 58 million euros.
Real Madrid, the most insistent interest
One of the issues that Dean Huijsen has been most insistent on is the interest of Real Madrid. At first, the defender tried to avoid the question emphasizing: "It means I'm doing well, but I don't pay attention to that. If you want to know something, you'll have to talk to my father."
However, given the insistence, he hinted at his openness to a possible arrival at the white club. "It's a big team. All players want to play in the big teams. We'll see," he warned.
Between jokes and preferences: Madrid or Barça?
Huijsen was also asked if he had seen that 'El Chiringuito' talked about him and Madrid, to which he replied: "My friends sent it to me, some told me "go to Madrid!", but I laughed. What am I going to say? I also have some other friends from Barça. The Barça fans tell me not to go to Madrid and, the Madrid fans, not to go to Barça. It is obvious that Madrid and Barça have great players and are among the best."
He was even reminded that, at the time, his father was in Valdebebas. Huijsen fully clarified the context: "Yes, but when I was 16 years old. Seeing the facilities a little bit."
An uncertain future that promises to move the market
Definitely, it is an enigmatic case that promises to give a lot to talk about in the next summer market, positioning itself as one of the great entertainers. Will Real Madrid manage to sign him? Or will it be another of the greats of Europe who gets the services of the international with the Spanish national team? What does seem clear is that AFC Bournemouth will not be able to retain him much longer, regardless of the fact that contractually he is tied until 2030.
