Deco confirms the registration of Dani Olmo: key piece secured

FC Barcelona is working against the clock to resolve its major pending issue ahead of the winter transfer market. The Catalans must finalize the registration of Dani Olmo before the year ends, as the midfielder could only be registered until December 31 due to the long-term injury of Andreas Christensen.

Although the new contract with Nike was not enough to create the necessary salary space for the registration of the player from Egar, the club's management is seeking new 'levers' to return to the 1/1 rule. This was confirmed by Deco, the club's football director, in statements made to 'Movistar+' before the match that pitted Barça against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

"Will we be able to register Olmo? Yes, for sure. The club is working on that. These are internal matters and I cannot speak about them, otherwise we would all be on TV every day talking, but we will fix it," said the Portuguese, who also assured that the player is "calm."

Javier Tebas also spoke about Olmo's registration

For his part, Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, also commented on the registration of the Euro 2024 champion at an event held in the Catalan capital. "I hope that Barcelona does it, they are working on it, they are doing it, and that is my hope and nothing more. They are the ones working on it," the executive began to say.

"I wish for it, because he is an extraordinary player who is contributing a lot to Barcelona. I always believe they will achieve it. But we will see.
