Sevilla seems determined to sign one of FC Barcelona's possible discards in January. The people of Seville seek to close the transfer of Pablo Torre

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona could close the loan of Pablo Torre to Sevilla in the coming weeks. The latest information points to the interest of the Seville team in the 21-year-old midfielder, at the express request of Francisco García Pimienta, coach of the Andalusians.

Sevilla has not had a good start to the season and is prioritizing incorporating a creative player to improve its offensive performance. The 'blanquirrojo' team has barely scored 12 goals in 13 LaLiga games and the coach believes that the Cantabrian player will give his team much more clarity in the opposite field.

In that sense, the Seville board would have already started contacts with Deco to negotiate the transfer of Torre for six months, without a purchase option, with a positive response from the culé board. The one from Soto de la Marina already went out on loan last season to Girona, where he did not have the expected prominence. Even so, the Catalans would also be interested in recovering him in the next market.

Pablo Torre has taken advantage of his minutes at Barça this season

So far in 2024/25, Pablo has played 6 games (209 minutes) in which he has scored 3 goals and 1 assist. The '14' was a starter in the League duels against Villarreal (he scored and assisted), Getafe and Osasuna, but after his entry against Sevilla (he scored a double in 14 minutes) he has not left the Barça bench in the following five duels .

Hence, beyond being a player Hansi Flick likes, the German coach agrees with his departure in January. The Cantabrian prioritizes having more filming to exploit his talent, but it will be difficult for him to have the necessary minutes in a Barça with brutal competition in the center of the field.

The culés have recovered Gavi and Frenkie de Jong, as well as Fermín López and Dani Olmo in recent weeks. With the Pedri-Casadó duo untouchable in contention, Pablo Torre is left with no options to even add residual minutes. In a recent interview, the player himself thanked the coaching staff for their confidence, without closing the door to an exit in January.
