Summer is approaching and Barcelona has great opportunities in sight. Find out more!

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona board hopes to finalize at least a couple of signings in the upcoming transfer window. The coaching staff's priority is to bring in a left winger, another center forward, and perhaps one or two full-backs. For now, the club still lacks the necessary financial strength to amortize signings, but the situation would be more favorable come summer.

In any case, Barcelona aims to sign players who do not represent a high expense, as several players are out of contract in June, meaning they could arrive at 'zero cost' in Catalonia. Some of the options highly valued by the Blaugrana board are:

📌Jonathan Tah

Barcelona is looking to strengthen its defense without compromising its budget, and Tah could arrive as a free agent at the end of his contract with Bayer Leverkusen. Hansi Flick knows the defender well from his time with the German national team and has given his approval for the signing.

In this regard, the addition of Tah could imply the departure of defenders like Andreas Christensen or Eric García, who have contracts expiring in 2026. In England, Liverpool and Tottenham would be Barcelona's main rivals for the 29-year-old defender, while Bayern Munich has reportedly withdrawn from the bidding for the center-back.

📌Leroy Sané

The '10' of Bayern is highly regarded by the board, but he earns around 20 million euros gross per year, an amount that Barcelona is not willing to pay due to its financial limitations. For the signing to be viable, Sané would have to accept a significant salary reduction, which at the moment does not seem to be on the table.

In this sense, Barcelona is exploring more economical and younger alternatives, such as Rafael Leao or Nico Williams, who could offer greater long-term security. Leroy has also been linked with Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United, which could offer him a more attractive contract.

📌Jonathan David

Jonathan David also finishes his contract with Lille this summer, meaning he could join Barcelona at no transfer cost, something appealing for the club given its economic situation. The Canadian has expressed his desire to play in Barcelona, a club he has followed since childhood, which could facilitate negotiations.

Although there are doubts about his adaptation to Hansi Flick's system, David offers mobility and goal-scoring ability, qualities useful for the team's offensive rotation. Additionally, the continuity of Robert Lewandowski and the possible departure of Ferran Torres could influence the decision regarding the signing of the 25-year-old forward.

📌Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey is known for his physical ability and experience in midfield, which could be a valuable reinforcement for Barcelona, especially under Hansi Flick's orders. The midfielder does not seem willing to renew with Arsenal and aims to return to LaLiga, where he already shone in the past decade with Atlético de Madrid, as well as Mallorca and Almería.

However, Juventus and Atlético have shown interest in signing the 31-year-old player. While he is a midfielder with a lot of quality and hierarchy, in Barcelona he would not have his position secured, as the club is strongly betting on the long-term potential of Marc Bernal and Marc Casadó. Similarly, the continuity of Frenkie de Jong could definitively close the door on the Ghanaian.

📌Angel Gomes

Another pivot finishing his contract in June is the Englishman Angel Gomes. Barcelona has shown interest in the Lille player in the past, which could indicate that they still consider him a valuable option. The main obstacle for Barcelona would be the competition from clubs like Tottenham and Manchester United, who have shown significant interest in signing Gomes.

Therefore, to enter the race for his signing, Barcelona would need to offer an attractive project that surpasses the offers from other clubs. This could include guarantees of playing time and a key role in the team led by Hansi Flick.
