Deco and Joan Laporta are already working on FC Barcelona's market plan for next summer. The club needs to raise funds to sign players without restrictions, and several players are on the way out.
The FC Barcelona board already has a clear idea of who will be Hansi Flick's discards for the upcoming summer market. Although the club does not intend to pressure any of its players to leave, the doors will be open for those with fewer chances of earning a spot for the next season.
In this sense, there are at least five players from the Blaugrana squad labeled as transferables for the upcoming transfer window. Deco and Joan Laporta will have no trouble negotiating thanks to Barcelona's return to the 1:1 rule, but to take advantage of this factor, cash on hand is needed.
💶The three fixed discards for Barça for the 2025/26 season
📌Ansu Fati: The 14 million euros gross that the winger earns annually is a serious problem for Barcelona's finances. The '10' is the outfield player with the least minutes in the Blaugrana squad, yet he still rejected a move in January. For next summer, a loan seems the most likely option to give him an exit, as the club hopes to receive at least 30M € for his transfer, an amount that no European club is willing to pay for now.
📌Andreas Christensen: The Danish player has had very bad luck with injuries this season, missing the entire year due to various physical problems. Initially, Barcelona expected to receive around 20 'kilos' for his transfer, but his prolonged inactivity and the fact that he has only one year left on his contract may affect his exit price. In any case, having arrived for free in 2022, Christensen will not generate losses.
📌Pablo Torre: The Cantabrian, despite knowing he is the last midfielder in Hansi Flick's rotation plan, rejected a loan move in January. The coach knows that Pablo can be a great attacking midfielder, but the presence of Dani Olmo, Gavi, and Fermín López completely closes the doors to the first team for him. With a contract until 2026, Barcelona should renew him to try to sell him for a figure close to 10 million euros, reserving a percentage of his rights.
💶Other options with which Barça can resolve the arrival of some reinforcements
📌Pau Víctor: Like Pablo Torre, the 23-year-old forward has found himself without a place in Flick's rotations due to the tough competition posed by Ferran Torres and Robert Lewandowski. Pau signed until 2029, and it is most likely that he will go on loan to try to increase his value. In case of opting for a definitive sale, it would hardly be for more than 5 million.
📌Eric García: The center-back had everything ready to return to Girona in January, but Hansi Flick halted his departure, as he considers him a key piece for rotation in defense and midfield. However, for the 25/26 season, it is likely that Eric would prefer to take a step back, to a club where he has less competition for a starting position. With a contract until 2026, the Catalan could leave between 20 and 25 'kilos' in cash next summer.
