Pini Zahavi, Robert Lewandowski's agent, has confirmed the future of the '9' at Barça. The representative ruled out the Polish player's move to Saudi football and assured his continuity at the club
The file on Robert Lewandowski seems to be closed both for FC Barcelona and for the player himself. Although the sporting management has started the search for his medium or long-term replacement in the center of the attack and various rumors linked him to a possible interest from Saudi football, the immediate future of the Polish player still goes through Spotify Camp Nou.
This was confirmed by his agent, Pini Zahavi, in statements made to '365Scores', where he firmly ruled out the possible departure of the goalscorer from the City of Barcelona. "Lewandowski is happy in Barcelona and will stay with the team next season one hundred percent. We have a contract with the club and we respect it until its end," revealed the representative.
Zahavi also denied the existence of any offer from Saudi Arabia to sign 'Lewy' at the end of the season, stating emphatically that "talking about offers from the Saudi League is not true, we have not received any official offer and no Saudi club has contacted us regarding the player".
Lewandowski is experiencing his second youth at Barça
In this way, Lewandowski's agent settles the debate surrounding his client's continuity in the azulgrana team. At 36 years old, the Polish player is experiencing a second youth under Hansi Flick, and at Can Barça they are more than satisfied with his brutal performance, professionalism, and leadership, as the player has gracefully taken on his role as a guide for the young 'pearls' starting to break into the first team.
To top it off, Robert has already achieved his best scoring season as a blaugrana, celebrating 34 goals in just 38 matches. With this figure, the forward surpassed his previous record with the club, which was 33 goals in the 2022/23 season, his debut year in LaLiga. Although he is still far from the 55 goals he scored with Bayern Munich in the 2019/20 season (his best season in Europe so far), the Warsaw star remains in 'legend mode' and could reach similar records by the end of May.
'Lewy' has earned his place at the blaugrana entity (and with goals), and he does not seem to have any intention of taking his foot off the accelerator in the short term. In fact, the Catalans are already thinking of offering him a renewal until 2027, although, after his agent's words, tranquility regarding the player's future reigns at Camp Nou, where they are certain that the center of their attack is more than well covered for the upcoming season.
