Barça is preparing to receive several offers for Ronald Araujo this summer. Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Chelsea are preparing their respective offensives for the center-back.
The future of Ronald Araujo at FC Barcelona is by no means guaranteed. The Uruguayan center-back, who recently extended his contract with the club until 2031, is one of the most sought-after defenders in European football, which is why several of the continent's top teams are closely monitoring him and even preparing their offensives to try to sign him next summer.
His recent ankle injury abruptly halted his progress, and after establishing himself in the starting eleven at the beginning of 2025, he has once again lost prominence in Hansi Flick's rotation. The excellent performance of Iñigo Martínez, Pau Cubarsí, and Eric García has left him in a complicated situation, and with the possible arrival of Jonathan Tah, the Catalans would not rule out cashing in on his sale during the next transfer market.
This is reported by 'El Nacional.cat', which claims that there are already three clubs tracking Araujo. The first of these would be Bayern Munich, which would return for the player after having tried to sign him just over a year ago. The Bavarians are building a highly competitive project under Vincent Kompany, and after securing the renewals of Davies and Musiala, they would want to ensure the future of their defense with the arrival of the Uruguayan.
The Premier League 'threatens' Barça with Araujo
Similarly, Manchester United and Chelsea would also be after the center-back. Both teams have suffered excessively this season in the defensive area, and signing the Uruguayan would represent a significant quality leap for their squads, which is why they would be willing to offer up to 100 million euros for his signing.
However, the player's contract includes a clause that would lower his exit price to 70 'kilos' during the first 10 days of July, so an offensive from one of these teams during this timeframe cannot be ruled out.
Araujo, for his part, has always shown his commitment to Barça and has made it clear his desire to defend the blue and garnet jersey in the years to come. Despite this, if his situation does not change in the coming months and the Catalans open the door for him to leave, the player will be forced to listen to offers to seek prominence in a new horizon. A scenario that, as of today, seems distant, but which in the Catalan capital is not ruled out.
