Paris Saint-Germain is very close to closing its first major signing of 2025. Luis Enrique's team has everything agreed with Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has already asked Napoli to facilitate his exit in the winter market. The coach of the Italian side, Antonio Conte, confirmed the 23-year-old winger's desire to leave the club with which he became a star a couple of seasons ago.

According to information shared by Fabrizio Romano, the forward has given the 'ok' to PSG's offer, where he will earn between four and five times more per season. The Georgian was earning only €1.3 million with Napoli in the 2024-25 season, so his new salary would be around €6 million net per year. Regarding this, Conte expressed feeling devastated by the '77's decision, whom he managed to convince to stay in the 'partenopeo' team last summer.

Conte, devastated by Kvaratskhelia's departure

"He asked to leave. I am disappointed, I realized that it was a bolt from the blue and I am taking a step back. I would never want him to think that I have chained him here if he ends up staying. I did it last summer thinking of convincing him of the validity of the project, but evidently I did not succeed. We are losing an important player", commented the coach at the press conference before the match against Hellas Verona.

Kvaratskhelia was not included in the squad for matchday 20 of Serie A, as his move to Paris is imminent. Everything points to the transfer closing for an amount close to €70 million, although the winger had a contract until 2027 and his current market value is €85 million. FC Barcelona was one of the clubs interested in Kvicha, but ultimately PSG got ahead with the signing of one of the most coveted forwards in Europe.

In the 2024-25 season, the Tbilisi native scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in 19 matches with the team managed by Antonio Conte. His best season so far was 2022/23, where he led Napoli to its first Serie A title since 1990 with 14 goals and 17 assists in 43 matches, showcasing brilliant football with Luciano Spalletti's team.
