Pini Zahavi got 'wet' about Jonathan Tah's future. The central defender in FC Barcelona's sights ends his contract in 2025, but he is a priority objective for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich seem to have a clear path to attack the signing of Jonathan Tah at the end of this season. The agent of the Bayer Leverkusen defender, Pini Zahavi, made clear the Bavarian team's intention to sign him, beyond their failed attempt in the last summer market.

"We tried to get Tah to change clubs last summer, but Leverkusen asked for too much money. The idea was to take him to Bayern, the club wanted to sign him," the Israeli agent commented in a recent interview.

Furthermore, Zahavi, who maintains an excellent relationship with Joan Laporta and the culé board, made it clear that, although he expected the team led by Xabi Alonso to earn a good sum for the operation, next year they will lose Jonathan without receiving a euro.

The center-back's contract ends on June 30, 2025, so he will be able to negotiate freely with any club starting next January 1. This factor has increased Barça's interest in the Hamburg player, but everything indicates that the defender will continue his career in the Bundesliga.

"Now the situation is very simple: Jonathan will sign for a big club next summer. And Bayern still has a good chance of signing him," Pini Zahavi pointed out. Although the experienced agent does not take anything for granted, it is clear that the Bavarians have the necessary financial solvency to offer Tah a better contract than Barcelona.

In any case, the 28-year-old defender will have the last word to define what his next team will be. The Leverkusen '4' will celebrate a decade in the Aspirin team in 2025, so it is normal that he not only wants a change of scenery, but also makes the leap to a European giant.

In nine seasons, Tah has played a total of 309 games for Bayer, scoring 15 goals and 12 assists. With the German team, he was called up for the Euro Cups in 2016 (he had no minutes) and 2024 (he played three games, all as a starter). In addition to Bayern Munich, other greats from Italy and England will go after Hamburg from January.
