The FC Barcelona board is clear about the need to sign a left winger next summer. Beyond Raphinha's great moment and Dani Olmo's good start to the season, Joan Laporta has several interesting options on the table to protect what is currently, by far, the best forward in Europe.
In that sense, the latest information points to one of Liverpool's 'cracks' on Barça's agenda. In principle, Mohamed Salah seems determined to leave Liverpool next summer after nine seasons with the 'reds' and his agent would have offered him to the Catalan team, knowing the culé's interest in 'low cost' players.
And Salah would arrive with a letter of freedom, although his signing could be a problem for Barça's finances. 'Mo' earns around 21 million euros net per year at Anfield, but he would be willing to lower his emoluments to continue playing for a top club, aware of the weight of the age factor.
Barça and other greats, attentive to Salah's future
The Egyptian will turn 33 in June and maintains a market value of 55 kilos on the specialized website Transfermarkt. However, in sports, it remains fully valid. In 2024/25, he already has 10 goals and 10 assists with Arne Slot's team, maintaining the level that has characterized him since his arrival in England in 2025.
In addition to Barça, yes, there are other greats very attentive to the future of Salah who will surely be one of the great 'bargains' of the next summer market. Liverpool, for their part, do not rule out his renewal either, understanding that the winger still has plenty of conditions to perform at his best in the European elite for at least two or three more seasons.
For Barça, the signing of 'Mo' would be a real luxury, although the Egyptian would have to resign himself to playing on the left or, like Raphinha, adjust to the role of playmaker, playing behind the '9'. In any case, his hierarchy and scoring ability would allow him to fit without problems into Hansi Flick's ultra-offensive scheme.
