¿Vlahovic to Barça? Juventus has plans for the Serbian forward.

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Dusan Vlahovic, Serbian forward for Juventus, faces an uncertain future at the club due to several factors. The 'Old Lady' has been considering his sale due to financial issues and a desire to renew the squad. However, the recent arrival of Igor Tudor as coach could change the landscape for the '9', whose contract expires in 2026.

Indeed, Vlahovic has lost his starting position at Juventus under the direction of Thiago Motta, who preferred Randal Kolo Muani. Despite his 14 goals in 34 matches this season, the Belgrade native has faced criticism from the 'bianconeri' fans and the Italian press, seeing his participation in the team significantly reduced mainly in the early months of 2025.

In this regard, Juve has already opened the exit door for the forward, whose salary is one of the highest in Serie A (around 16.3 million euros gross per year). The club is so eager to get rid of his contract that they are willing to sell him for a figure close to 25-40 million euros, which is significantly less than the value for which he was acquired in 2022 (83.5 'million').

Barça, attentive to Vlahovic's future in the final stretch of the season

With this in mind, Juventus' plan aims to give Dusan as much playing time as possible in the last two months of the 2024-25 season, thinking about improving his market options next summer. The 'bianconeri' know FC Barcelona's interest in acquiring another center forward in the upcoming transfer window and could even offer the Serbian, as part of the payment for Ronald Araujo. The 'charrúa' was Juventus' main winter target, but ultimately Barça managed to convince him to renew.

Juve has only nine league matches left to play, after their early eliminations in the Cup (Empoli) and Champions (PSV Eindhoven), two setbacks that hastened Thiago Motta's departure. However, the arrival of Igor Tudor to the Juventus Stadium bench offers Vlahovic a new opportunity to redeem himself. The Croatian coach has expressed his intention to bet on Vlahovic, who could regain his position in the starting eleven.

Thus, the future of the '9' will depend on his performance between April and May, as well as on Juventus' financial decisions. If Vlahovic manages to regain his form and convince Tudor, he could stay at the club. However, if he does not improve his situation, Juve will opt to sell him to avoid losing him as a free agent in 2026 and to generate necessary income for other signings.
