FC Barcelona have made significant progress in signing Dani Olmo, leaving the agreement with the player already done, as we explained this Tuesday in FCBN. However, the only offer that the Catalan club has made to RB Leipzig, of 40 million euros fixed plus 20 in variables, has been rejected by the Germans, who seem to be sticking to their idea of bringing 60 million euros fixed for the Spaniard.
That is why in Germany they expect Barça, at the very least, to increase their offer considerably. Leipzig, after meeting with the player's agents this week, insists on its initial position that the Spanish international has a market value of 60 million euros, the same that it has decided to set for his departure this summer, and it will hardly move from that idea.
The Leipzig will not be flexible with the figure of exit of Olmo
This is what 'Mundo Deportivo' explains, pointing out that Leipzig believe that it is a totally coherent amount with Olmo's present and future, so they would agree to offer payment facilities as long as Barça guarantees the 60 million fixed. In this way, the Catalan team must, at least, match or exceed the 50 million fixed to be able to convince the German team, if they finally want to complete Olmo's return to Barcelona.
Furthermore, the Red Bull team understands that if Barça is willing to pay almost 60 million for Nico Williams they will have to make the same effort for Olmo, and not stay at the 40 million fixed that they initially offered, the information points out. Dani Olmo, for his part, has decided to take a leap in his career and continue growing outside of Leipzig, something that the German club understands.
The man from Terrassa is still waiting for his future to be resolved with several options on the table. Beyond FC Barcelona, he also has Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Manchester City. The player has always insisted that he wants to go to a team where he can be important, something that Barça seems to be offering him, even if the Catalan club also signed Nico.
