Robert Lewandowski could end his cycle at FC Barcelona next summer. The '9' does not see himself as a substitute in the blue and garnet team if another 'top' scorer arrives in August
The future of Robert Lewandowski may point away from FC Barcelona for the 2025-26 season. Although the striker has made it clear on several occasions that he feels very comfortable at the club and living in the City of Barcelona, the possible signing of another '9' for Barça next summer raises serious doubts for the Pole about the role he will play in the upcoming season in the blue and garnet team.
Amid the 'soap opera' regarding the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, the club finally returned to the 1:1 rule, a fundamental point to be able to strengthen itself from this January. In attack, names like Viktor Gyökeres, Alexander Isak, and even Erling Haaland are mentioned as possible replacements for the 36-year-old striker. In fact, his departure would also be very useful for the market plans of Barça, as his salary (32M€ gross in 24-25) is the highest in the squad.
The Arab league will once again go after Lewandowski this summer
In this sense, the Arab league will try again to seduce the Pole at the end of the 2024-25 season with a super contract. Last year, 'Lewy' rejected an offer close to 100 million euros net per year, as he believes he still has plenty of conditions to compete at the elite level. However, in an interview with 'Forbes', the experienced culé striker admitted that, unlike 'cracks' like Cristiano Ronaldo, he does not see himself playing beyond 40.
"At my age now I know that soon, in two, three years, I don’t know exactly, my career will be over", explained the one from Warsaw. Robert will turn 37 in August and already has another year of contract secured with Barça, having played practically all official matches this season (only stayed on the bench against Mallorca). In Arabia, Al Hilal and Al Nassr are the clubs that will try to sign him next summer.
