Luis Díaz is the main target of FC Barcelona this summer, and Deco already has a plan for his signing.
The name of Luis Díaz appears at the top of the priority list for FC Barcelona. Given the extreme difficulty of signing Alexander Isak, for whom Newcastle would ask for more than 150 million euros, the Colombian seems to have won the 'casting' of wingers from the sports management and would have all the chances to be the star signing for the team for the upcoming season.
The 'Guajiro' fits perfectly into the profile they are looking for in the Catalan City to strengthen the attack this summer. At 28 years old, the player is in his prime, developing his football to move beyond being just a pure winger and being able to operate across the entire front line, making him a highly useful tool for Hansi Flick.
'Lucho', moreover, would see his arrival at Spotify Camp Nou very positively, as wearing the blue and garnet jersey is one of the great dreams of his career, as the player himself admitted during his time at Junior de Barranquilla. Deco, meanwhile, has already had several informal contacts with his surroundings to make his intentions clear, and although financial 'fair play' continues to limit the club, the culé leadership is confident in resolving this situation by the end of the season and making the arrival of the South American possible.
The sports management's plan to sign Díaz
The contractual situation of Díaz is another factor that plays in favor of Barça. Luis's commitment expires in 2027, and if he does not leave Anfield Road this coming summer, Liverpool would have little room for maneuver during the summer transfer window of 2026, as it would be the last opportunity to cash in on his transfer, which could considerably lower his exit price. However, if the Catalans decide not to pursue his signing, renewal remains an option for the player.
For now, the newspaper 'SPORT' has reported that from the offices of Spotify Camp Nou they are working on formulas to generate the necessary financial 'fair play' to undertake an operation that does not fluctuate between 70 and 75 million euros. A figure that would represent a salary space of at least 30 'kilos' for the upcoming season, as it is the amount coming from the amortization plus the player's salary.
In this sense, the blaugranas would handle different alternatives to generate cash. Aside from percentages or sales of players owned who are not part of the blaugrana squad (Mingueza, Álex Valle, etc.), the Catalans do not rule out parting with one of their midfielders if they receive an interesting offer for them, with Pedri being the only one considered untouchable for the club.
Similarly, the files of Eric García, Andreas Christensen, and Ronald Araujo could also be reviewed once the current season concludes. However, for the Uruguayan, offers will only be listened to if the central defender himself requests a change of scenery. There are still just over 3 months until the summer market opens, but at Can Barça, there are already moves to continue strengthening the squad for the next season.
