La Masia is arguably the greatest cradle of talent in football. In recent years there has been a great boom in footballers coming out of the Blaugrana reserve team, and at FCBN we show you the XI of the most valuable players who have passed through the Barça youth system
La Masia is well known for being one of the biggest talent factories in the world of football. Generation after generation, FC Barcelona has been fed by several stars from the Barcelona reserve team, whose production of gems is more than current today. Up to 13 members of the current Catalan team have been trained in the youth team, and seven of these players who make up the most valuable XI to come out of the Barcelona factory are currently under the orders of Hansi Flick.
Lamine, at the head of an all-star attack
Lamine Yamal leads the offensive trident, being the main exponent at present of the Blaugrana 'factory'. The 17-year-old attacker, valued at 120 million euros, is the most expensive player in the line-up of the stars who have formed part of the Barça youth system, according to 'Transfermarkt'. The winger is joined by Lionel Messi, Inter Miami star and the biggest legend in the club's history, who is currently valued at 30 million euros. Alongside the Argentine and the Spaniard, there is Xavi Simons, who left the Catalan youth academy several years ago and who today has an estimated value of 80 million euros.
A very culé midfield
The midfield of the most valuable XI raised in La Masia is made up of Dani Olmo, who returned to Barcelona after 10 years and is valued at 60 million euros; Gavi, who despite being close to completing a year off the pitch still has a market value of 90 million euros; and Fermín López, whose 'explosion' at the Paris Olympic Games has raised his price to 30 million euros.
An unprecedented defence
Finally, the rearguard of the most valuable team formed in the reserve team is made up of Pau Cubarsí (30 million), Eric García (20 million) and Héctor Fort (10 million) as the three players who complete the 'seven' members of Hansi Flick's current squad. Alejandro Grimaldo surpasses Alejandro Balde at left back with a value of 45 million euros and André Onana is between the three sticks with a market value of 35 million euros.
In total, the XI of the most valuable players who are a product of the Blaugrana youth team has a value of 550 million. A price that goes beyond the statistical, since it represents that La Masia, regardless of the time that passes, continues to be the 'cradle' of the great talents of football. To the Messi, Puyol and Busquets, among others, of the past, are added the Lamine, Gavi, Cubarsí and company in the present. Generation after generation, the culé factory remains the best in the world.
