Barça is looking for reinforcements in attack: Is Moise Kean the piece that Hansi Flick needs? Discover his strengths and possibilities
The FC Barcelona board does not rule out signing a left winger next summer. Despite the great performance of Raphinha and the good work done by Fermín López and Dani Olmo to lend a hand to the offensive trident, the club would be willing to invest a considerable sum in another striker to shield the Barça attack.
In principle, Nico Williams and Rafael Leao are the options best valued by Deco and Joan Laporta. However, the Basque player seems to have moved away from Barça in recent weeks, while the Portuguese player's decline with Milan this 2025 also generates serious doubts about how profitable his signing would be.
Meanwhile, in Italy, a very interesting option has recently emerged. Who is it? None other than Moise Kean, a 25-year-old striker who has relaunched his career at Fiorentina. The Italian international has 23 goals and 3 assists in 39 matches (3,064 minutes) with the Viola team.
Is Moise Kean a Viable Signing for Barça?
Although he has a contract until 2029, Kean could arrive in Barcelona this summer for an affordable price. Journalist Fabrizio Romano assures that the 25-year-old striker's clause will be 50 million euros during the first two weeks of July, a price lower than what Nico or Leao would cost.

It will be valid from July 1 to July 15 this summer.

Moise arrived at Fiorentina last summer in exchange for 13 'kilos', after Juventus decided to recover him a year earlier for €30M, almost the same as Everton had paid to remove him from the 'Vecchia signora' in 2019 (€27.5M).
The player from Vercelli alternated loans to PSG and Juve itself between 2020 and 2023, alternating good and bad seasons in France, Italy and England. With Paris he scored 17 goals in 41 appearances, while at Everton he barely scored 4 goals in 39 matches.
However, in 2024-25 he has made an important leap in quality with Fiore, establishing himself as one of the best attackers in Serie A. Kean has stood out for his mobility, power and ability to get past defenders, as well as his ease in leaving rivals behind.
For Barça, his signing would be affordable as long as a couple of exits occur (Ansu Fati, Clément Lenglet) and some important sale (Andreas Christensen, Ferran Torres). In addition, the club needs to return to the 1:1 rule before next June 30 to be able to reinforce without 'Fair Play' limitations.
Moise Kean to Barça: How Would His Arrival Impact Hansi Flick's Team
Although Hansi Flick's Barcelona has been a true goal-scoring machine, a player with Moise Kean's characteristics would be a valuable addition to such a vertical team. This is how the Fiorentina striker would impact the Blaugrana's game.
- Offensive versatility: Kean can play both as a center forward and as a left winger, which gives Barça tactical flexibility to vary the attack depending on the rival or the situation of the match.
- Goal-scoring ability: In the current season with Fiorentina, Kean has scored 23 goals and provided 3 assists in 39 matches, showing a solid goal-scoring performance that could help to make up for the possible decrease of Lewandowski, who will turn 37 in August.
- Aerial play and precise shot: Since he was young, Moise has shown good aerial play and a powerful and precise shot, in addition to speed to exploit the wings, attributes that would fit perfectly in Barça's offensive style.
- High pressure: Kean also stands out for his ability to hold the ball and pressure the rival defense when the team loses possession, something important in the pressure style that Flick usually implements.
In this way, Moise Kean would provide Barça with a versatile offensive option, with goal-scoring ability and to play in several positions in the attack, which could enrich Hansi Flick's tactical variants.
However, his incorporation is not confirmed and the German coach does not consider him a player to be an immediate starter, preferring to keep Lewandowski and Ferran Torres as the main offensive references.
The Fiorentina goalscorer would rather be an alternative for rotation or to cover the left wing, as long as his signing is finalized and it fits the club's economic and sporting planning.
