José Mourinho could leave FC Barcelona without one of Hansi Flick's preferred wingers. Recent rumors indicate Fenerbahce's interest in Leroy Sané.
Leroy Sané's future seems to drift further away from Bayern Munich every day. The winger will turn 29 on January 11 and since last Wednesday he can negotiate with any club to sign as a free agent next summer, as his contract with the Bavarians expires on June 30 and, for now, there are no indications about the renewal of the '10' from Munich.
According to 'Sky Sports', the player from Essen is one of the players José Mourinho wants to take to Fenerbahce next season. Sané is also on FC Barcelona's radar, which does not rule out signing him at 'zero cost' if, ultimately, the option of Nico Williams is discarded. The Bayern forward knows Hansi Flick well, with whom he has already worked at the Bavarian club and the German national team.
Sané's salary, another factor against Barça's interests
However, Mourinho could hinder Barça's plans with a very attractive offer for a Leroy who, this season, earns 20 million euros gross. His salary would be an obstacle for the Catalan club's interests, but not for a Fenerbahce determined to make at least two 'top' signings next summer to break Galatasaray's dominance in the Turkish league. In fact, the current champions of the tournament are also keeping an eye on the future of Bayern's '10'.
So far this season, Sané has scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist in 19 matches (915 minutes) with Vincent Kompany's team. Despite doubts about his continuity, the Belgian coach still considers him an important piece in the Bavarian squad. Besides Essen's player, Munich could also lose Joshua Kimmich for free next summer, another player that Barça had on their radar in 2024.
