José Mourinho wants to 'rescue' Arda Güler from Real Madrid. Fenerbahçe will try to get the Turk out of the club through a loan in the winter transfer market
The case of Arda Güler is one of the 'hot potatoes' of a Real Madrid immersed in a sporting 'chaos'. After his good moments last season and his emergence in the Eurocup this summer, the Turk has hardly had any prominence so far this season, and although the whites are not willing to sell one of their great 'jewels', several clubs will try to take advantage of his situation in the winter transfer market.
The footballer, who has barely played 291 minutes spread over 10 games, has not completed a match this season, being relegated to a secondary role by Carlo Ancelotti. For this reason, the Turkish media, such as Haber Ekspres, have reported that Fenerbahçe has put the machinery in motion to try to bring him back in January.
José Mourinho and the president lead the operation
In fact, the Ottomans point out that the club's sporting director, Mario Branco, will begin contacts with Madrid in the coming weeks to sound out the possible loan of Güler. Even the president, Ali Koç, would be willing to meet personally with the player to convince him that his return to Istanbul would be the most appropriate for his career given the lack of minutes he is having at the Santiago Bernabéu.
For his part, José Mourinho has already given the go-ahead for the operation, being one of Arda's greatest supporters in the club after stating a few months ago that "he is a top-quality player and has a huge personality." In this way, Fenerbahçe is looking to make a splash to counter the signing of Victor Osimhen by Galatasaray, its arch-rival in the Turkish Super League.
